In recent decades, thousands of works by young authors have appeared on the book market, working in the genres of magical realism, science fiction, combat fantasy and creating stories about the victims. Among them, not the last place is occupied by the series "Hunter", "Freya" and "Obsessed", which were created by the Russian writer Andrei Burevoy in the 2000s.

Andrey Burevoy's bibliography consists of a dozen related fantasy novels, the most famous of which are the adventures of a hero named Hunter. The series of the same name, which began in 2008 with a book called "Castle of the Ancients", includes 4 works in the genre of combat fantasy, and the narrative unfolds in a fictional universe that has recently survived a magical war.
Then in the novels "Wasteland of Demons", "The Abandoned City" and "Lord of the Wasteland", the author unfolded the story of Dart the Hunter, who at first did not shine with any outstanding qualities and talents. But in the course of his adventures, he discovered magical abilities that, due to a lack of knowledge, he could not apply.
Realizing that the answers to the questions were in the scrolls of ancient creatures, the character went to the Wasteland, where hundreds of treasure hunters died in the traps of the last war. According to the author's intention, a good goal was to protect the young man, but unexpected places and danger still met on his way. It was not without an illogical love story, and, feeling the mistakes and flaws, the writer finished a series of books.
Drawing conclusions from the not entirely successful journey of the Hunter, Burevoy immediately began a new cycle "Possessed" and for 4 years described in detail the life of the guard Carridan di Stini, who was an ordinary resident of one of the small towns.
In the first book, published under the title Guardian of the Empire, Andrei told how an ordinary hero turned into a foreman, and a terrible curse that almost took his life, led to an agreement on the price of his soul.
And in the following novels, the character went through the stages of a defender, a knight and a dragon fighter, but the demon, who possessed unlimited dark power, broke the plan to become the owner of a specific province, and Carridan had to face intrigues on the difficult journey home from service.
Such a plot twist brought the writer hundreds of fans who appreciated the good style and ability to use artistic means, and the editors published all 5 books on paper and released them in the Fantastic Action series.
In 2015, Burevoy, encouraged by the interest and positive feedback from readers, posted on the Samizdat website the novel “Class T Quarantine” from the Frey dilogy, which became a debut in the genre of the post-apocalyptic universe, somewhat similar to the worlds of the Strugatsky brothers and the film 1990s "Judge Dredd".
This experiment was liked by fans of computer games in the style of a space opera, and critics again praised the writer for the smooth language and twisted plot. Therefore, in 2016, Andrei began the novel "The World Under Attack", which became a logical continuation, but so far only an unfinished draft is hanging on "Samizdat".
