As a teenager, Andrei Barilo almost died while flying a non-powered glider. Now the actor has enough adrenaline on stage and in the frame, although outwardly his characters are restrained and even cold, mostly negative. Begging for something else is not in Barilo's character. The main thing is an interesting script, character of the hero and a talented director.

Andrey was born on October 19, 1973 in the Lithuanian city of Siauliai. He is the youngest of three children of a liaison officer and a nurse who also served in the military unit. The artist's ancestors were Greeks, Italians and Ukrainians.

Barilo considers his second mother to be his sister Irina, who has cared for and looked after the brothers since childhood. The parents named one of them in honor of Yuri Gagarin, the second in honor of Andrei Mironov. Such a choice unwittingly predetermined the biographies of the boys: the elder became a Boeing pilot, and the younger opened a creative path.

Thanks to their father, the brothers often penetrated the airfield and soon learned to determine the model of an airplane flying in the sky by the sound of the engines, and later Barilo decided to go to an air club.

Andrei made his first parachute jump at the age of 13, and proudly wore a special badge on his school uniform. Now a NATO base is located at that airfield, and the actor says that if he worked in Hollywood, he would definitely buy a small plane and a license.

In addition to flying, Barilo loved football and music. Together with the members of the youth team, he became the winner of the city championship. Having learned to play the guitar, Andrey gathered a musical group, which included school friends. However, Andrei dreamed of an acting career. He did not miss a single film that was shown on TV or in the cinema, followed the news of world cinema, studied the biographies of popular artists.

Having received a certificate of maturity, Barilo went to Moscow. Even earlier, Yuri did it. The rest of the family moved to the Krasnodar Territory, fleeing national strife, which, according to Andrei, were enough in the Baltics and under Soviet rule.
