In 2014, Pirlo's ideal personal life cracked. This stems from an affair with Valentina Baldini. On July 7, 2017, she gave birth to the football player twins Leonardo and Tommaso. The couple are still together.

The turning point in Pirlo's career was the 2004/2005 season. AC Milan reached the Champions League final against Juventus. The merciless play led to a 3: 3 score and a penalty shootout in which Pirlo was unable to convert a goal. The footballer called this moment the worst in his career.

The following season, Milan finished again in 2nd place behind Juventus in Serie A and reached the Champions League semi-finals, losing to Barcelona. The club's black streak ended only in 2006.

Pirlo spent 10 seasons at Milan, scoring 41 goals in 401 games. But the main achievement of that decade was playing for the Italian national team: in 2006, the player became the world champion in its composition. The success was facilitated by his perfect physical form - with a height of 177 cm, Pirlo weighed 68 kg, spun on the field, skillfully bypassed opponents and quickly took the ball out from under their feet.

In 2011, Pirlo moved to Juventus. Gianluigi Buffon commented on this transfer:

Pirlo devoted 4 years to Juventus. Each season the team became the champion of Italy, twice took the national Super Cup, once - the Cup. The last award, however, is the most important: Juventus have been trying to win the trophy for 20 years.

Pirlo decided to end his career not in a top club and not in Milan, which became his own, but in New York City. The football player played the farewell match on May 21, 2018.

In August 2019, Pirlo announced that he had enrolled in coaching courses. He receives a license of the highest category - UEFA Pro.
