And Who Is On The Other Side ...?

The Story

Today, the Internet is a part of our lives. Everyone uses the network. From small, just-passed children to adult pensioners. For each of us, the Internet is a miracle. He is our connection to the world. Endless streams of information and entertainment flow from the various threads of the network. Innovations appear that gradually take over our consciousness and transfer to the imaginary world of communication and information, which is not controlled by a few buttons. Thousands of people enter the network every day, thirsty for fun and new acquaintances. And then those sites with photos and personal information face it. Free internet communications, which are the main way of communication, especially between the young generation, come to the rescue. At first glance, there is nothing wrong with these things. You go to one of those sites, you register, you upload your photos and keep visiting this same site for months. Gradually you make new acquaintances, find virtual friends ... in general you have fun. But does all this innocent fun among young people pose any danger "There's hardly any danger. Nothing can happen to me." would be the answer of one of those young regular members of these same sites. And is that so? Isn't there a 40-year-old man behind those pictures of a 16-year-old boy who thinks only bad of you? Isn't there someone behind the most ordinary chat with your peer, eager to harm you? Is everything so innocent and safe? Do we really know who is on the other side? Is the person we communicate with on the Internet really the person he or she pretends to be? Who can guarantee, after all it's a matter of anonymity .. I guess a very small proportion of those who go on dating sites ask themselves these questions. But it doesn't matter much to them. But for how long? Every day on TV we watch those crime series in which a well-to-do team of police officers investigate complicated and complex crimes. When they have to look for someone, just one photo of them is enough for them to get the information they need. And is there anyone in reality who can do the same? There is a high probability. This someone needs, perhaps, only your name, your location and your photo. What more does he need? The bad thing is that in most cases he doesn't even need it. The naivety with which teenagers look at online dating and chatting with strangers is enough to put them in the clutches of one of those guys, waiting for innocent girls on the corner after school. So ... my question is to that part of the young people who visit dating sites. Have they ever wondered who they are communicating with?
