The family of Uncle Vasya Kharitonov was musical, the father with children and relatives got together with guitars and sang touching gypsy compositions. For Anatoly, this was the most vivid impression of his early years.

Already at the age of 13, Polotno put together his own ensemble, which included Kharitonov's son Geshka-gypsy, only instead of a guitar the guy was given drums for some reason. Tolik first tried his hand at a leading position, and since then this role has been behind him throughout his life.

After school he entered the school №19. Once a teacher of the Institute of Culture drew attention to a talented musician, advising him to enter a university. But Anatoly, after graduating from vocational school, was called upon to pay his debt to his homeland. They offered to join the ranks of the music platoon in his hometown, but at the insistence of his conservative mother, the young man chose a "normal" service and ended up on the shores of Lake Balkhash. Later he entered the institute.

In vocational school, Cloth brought music, creating VIA. The group quickly gained fame, which spread far beyond the school. Soon the whole city knew the creativity of the guys. The musicians played classical rock and roll, having got stronger, they changed their place of deployment to the House of Culture. They performed on city dance floors, while making good money. According to Anatoly, he even came to get a scholarship once every six months.

In the 80s, the songs of the new artist were sung not only by Perm, the whole of Russia gradually got acquainted with the repertoire. The canvas created another group called "Lots-Man". Viktor Batenkov volunteered as co-authors of Anatoly, another friend joined them - Sergey Motin (in the future, chanson singer Sergey Kama).

The trio was surprisingly fruitful, in a short period of time the Lots-Man group had accumulated a lot of material, enough for several albums. The guys decided to record the first disc, which required a serious amount of money. I had to sell the garage.

The debut album "Oh, leli-leli" was born in 1988. Different directions are harmoniously mixed in it: notes of chanson and rock are guessed, urban romance and gypsy motives are interwoven. The disc is full of "masculine" romance - street hooligans, people disillusioned with life, fearless sailors became the characters of the compositions.

This work glorified the team, they learned about the group in Moscow, inviting them to the shooting of "Morning Mail". In the popular Soviet program, Polotno performed the song "Black Sea", which became an instant hit.

The discography expanded rapidly. The musical group recorded album after album. In 1989, three works saw the light at once - "For girls", "Pop-non-stop" and "Boy of the street". A year later, the violinist Farhat Karamov, an old friend and fellow countryman of Polotnyanshchikova, joined the group. Together, the young people released the album "Greetings from Lenka Panteleev."

In the mid-90s, a new position appeared in the creative biography of Anatoly Cloth. He tried his hand at producing. Undertook to promote Karamov, who, with his light hand, turned into Fedya Karmanov and overgrown with albums, which included the songs of Cloth.

In 1986, grief happened in Anatoly's personal life - his wife died. In the arms of the artist, the little daughter Lisa remained. The parents of the deceased wife helped to raise the child. The singer admits that he could not stand the trouble then and started drinking. But over time he pulled himself together.

Later, they managed to create a second family, in which two more children appeared - daughter Olga and son Kirill. The chosen one was a girl named Natalya, whom the chansonnier met on the Black Sea coast in Yalta. The couple parted, but fate brought the young people together again. Natalya came to Anatoly's concert, which took place in Moscow, and with a bouquet of flowers for the artist went on stage. For three years the musician dropped out of pop life, all the time devoting to the arrangement of the family nest.
