Anatoly Mikhailovich Bondarenko was born on January 11, 1966 in the city of Konstantinovka, Donetsk region. In his youth, Bondarenko initiated the creation of the Hobby collective, was its leader and songwriter. The participants gained popularity in the Donetsk region and gave concerts at city venues. The musician's family has always supported his creative endeavors. Elena became a concert director, the heir followed in his father's footsteps and chose the profession of an artist, and mother-in-law Klara Fedoseevna wrote lyrics for the songs "My light" and "The guitar was crying".

The group quickly became popular in the vast Donbass, and the composition "Smoke of Cigarettes with Menthol" soon received hit status. Anatoly became the author of the idea, based on the folk song "Your dress is made of chintz". Despite the catchy lyrics of the track and the success of the first album, the members did not immediately manage to find a studio for collaboration. It was only in 1995 that they signed a contract with Soyuz and moved to the Russian capital.

For the second hit of the collective "Clean sheet" ("I drew you") the singer also had to fight. Initially, the song did not evoke emotions even among his friend Andrey Kostenko, and they did not want to take it into rotation. But when "Nancy" first performed the composition at a concert, the audience was filled with applause, which was a moment of triumph for the author.

In subsequent years, Bondarenko continued to perform with the group, regularly releasing new albums. This is how You Are Away, Fog-Fog and Romeo appeared, but Menthol Cigarette Smoke remained a constant hit.

When the default began in Russia, the participants began to perform more abroad and almost disappeared from the field of view of the fans. The situation escalated after it became clear that the producer owns the copyright for only 60% of the group's repertoire. During this difficult period, Anatoly's son joined "Nancy", which allowed the team to stay afloat. Sergei became not only the soul, but also the face of the trio and helped attract the attention of a young audience to him.
