Aminata Savadogo is a Latvian singer and musician who represented her country at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. She is also known as a participant in the Russian reality show "The Voice". Aminata was born in the capital of Latvia - Riga. The singer owes her exotic appearance to her origin: her mother has Latvian and Russian roots, but the girl's father is from Burkina Faso.

Sawadogo dreamed of becoming a singer from a very young age, in the third grade she persuaded her mother to send her to the Bolderaja music studio, where she learned to play the flute. She also participated in all school competitions and festivals. True, at home Aminata listened to hard rock and dressed like a rocker.

At the age of 13, wearing a leather jacket and black varnish on her nails, she auditioned for vocal teacher Nadezhda Bukharova and announced that she wanted to learn to sing in the style of “Heavy Metal”. The talented teacher instantly realized what data was hidden in this unusual girl and agreed to accept her, but on the condition that during the year Aminata would sing the repertoire that the teacher would select. During this time, Savadogo realized that rock is not the only genre of music that can bring her pleasure.

It is interesting that the girl did not go to the conservatory or any institute of arts for higher education. She decided to receive a diploma in a more applied field and entered the Faculty of Economics and Management at the State University of Latvia, from which she graduated in June 2016.

The first television show of the young 15-year-old Aminata Savadogo was the Latvian project "Paul's Zucchini", then there were such contests as "Music Bank" and "Battle of Choirs", in which she performed as a member of the Golden Choir.

In 2014, Aminata tries herself in the selection for the Eurovision festival. The singer sang the song "I Can Breathe", but the choice of the audience and the jury that time fell on the group "Aarzemnieki". However, the girl was not too upset: she takes part in another TV show - "Factory of New Talents" and wins it.

This success attracted the attention of the public to the gifted performer, so Savadogo easily wins the next selection for Eurovision-2015. She presented the song "Love Injected" to the audience and went with her to the Austrian capital. In the first semi-final, the singer made a splash, and in the final evening she took the final sixth place, which is the best result for Latvia in the last 10 years.

In 2016, Aminata came to Moscow and performed as a contestant in the popular talent show "The Voice". At the blind auditions, she sang Konstantin Meladze's song "I will never forgive you" and managed to convince two mentors at once: Polina Gagarina and Dima Bilan. Of these, Savadogo chose Gagarina, whom, by the way, she met at Eurovision.

The musical style of Aminata Savadogo is definitely difficult to define. Her compositions contain a mixture of genres such as funk, hip-hop, R&B, soul and "regular" pop music. In the wake of the success associated with Eurovision-2015, the singer recorded her debut studio album, Inner Voice, which included her most famous song Love Injected. 

In 2016, the girl released a new disc, "Red Moon". Even before the release of this disc, fans were able to get acquainted with a couple of new compositions "Bridges" and "Fighter", which were filmed with beautiful video clips. Aminata writes many of her creations on her own. By the way, it is her authorship that belongs to the song "Heartbeat", with which singer Justs Sirmais represented Latvia at Eurovision-2016.

Aminata Savadogo is not yet married, although in the future she plans to build a strong family and have children. But the girl believes that first she must make a significant career in order to be an example for posterity.
