Alex Kosh is a Russian writer who creates works in the genre of science fiction. Alexey Baranovsky - the real name of science fiction writer Alex Kosh - was born in Moscow in 1983. In his youth, Alex tried many specialties. He worked as a courier, a warehouse worker, a laboratory assistant in the "Experimental Construction Laboratory" and at an asphalt plant, collected questionnaires during the All-Russian Population Census.

After receiving higher education, the young man did not immediately decide on a profession. He managed to work as a high-altitude worker at Ostankino, a system administrator at VINITI and even a reporter. Later he got a job as a computer technician.

From childhood, Alexey devoted a lot of time to sports. At the age of 4, the parents gave their son to figure skating. Then in the boy's life there were sections of hockey, kickboxing, karate, wushu. As a teenager, Alex mastered rock climbing, took up seriously acrobatics and modern types of dance - hip-hop, new style, krump. Kosh's latest hobbies are trial cycling and weightlifting.

The author of science fiction novels chose a pseudonym even before he started publishing books. At one time, the guy was fond of the works of Max Fry, he especially liked the hero, who received the nickname Nightmare. For social media accounts, Alex took this pseudonym. Subsequently, when signing the first contract with the publishing house, he mechanically signed a shortened version of this nickname - Kosh.
