After leaving school, Alexey entered the Norilsk Industrial Institute at the Faculty of Economics. It was difficult to become a student in this direction - there was a huge competition for economics. Therefore, the guy wrote to the leadership of the university that he agreed if he was not enrolled in the desired faculty to study in the specialty "road construction machines."

However, Alexei passed the competition and began his studies with enthusiasm. The future politician took education seriously: he allowed himself to walk and have fun only on weekends. And the study was not easy. Especially hard for Texler was drawing and the material that tortured more than one student. Fortunately, it was not an exam, but a test, which was passed on the strength of materials, and in 1995 Alexei graduated with honors from the institute, having received the specialty of an engineer-economist.

Aleksey Leonidovich began his working career as a teenager: together with the repair team organized by his grandfather he traveled to neighboring villages. Then the young man received his first "salary" - for good help he was paid 40 rubles. Alexey spent the money on a calculator, having bought the advanced "Electronics" for those times.

He began to work seriously in 1990, having got a job at the Zavenyagin Norilsk Mining and Metallurgical Combine. Having started his career as a technician in the economic department, Alexey Leonidovich later became the head of the tax planning department of the Norilsk Mining Company, replacing Alexander Novak in this position.

In 2001, the economist became an employee of Norilsk Nickel - he took the position of chief accountant in the company's Polar Division. After 5 years, Aleksey Leonidovich went for a promotion and was appointed deputy director of the diversified supporting directorate in the same organization. In 2006, Texler moved to a subsidiary company, Norilsk Providing Complex LLC, where he worked for 2 years as a General Director.

In 2008, Alexey Leonidovich began to build a political career and, having won the competition, took the position of the city manager (or city manager) of Norilsk. After working until June 30, 2009, the man left the post of his own free will.

In the man's personal life, everything is calm - Alexey Leonidovich is married to Irina Teksler (maiden name - Matyash), a son is growing up in the family. The politician's wife is a physician by education, and she also graduated from the school of journalism. For some time Irina worked at the Norilsk "Channel-7", later founded the sports club "Tonus Club" in Moscow. In 2016, already being the wife of Texler, she took part in a beauty contest, where she received the title of "Vice-Mrs. Moscow - 2016".
