The future actor was born on November 21, 1971 in Lviv. Parents - Anatoly and Valentina - had no relation to art. But the great-grandfather of the actor, a native of a merchant family, worked as a circus artist for Durov himself.

And the actor's school memories are associated with childhood grievances. Alyosha was an obese, awkward boy, so his classmates did not miss an opportunity to tease him, and the most hooligan even the little change given by his mother for breakfast was taken away.
Back in Lviv, he discovered the genre of parody thanks to the found disc of Viktor Chistyakov. And while still a 10-year-old boy, he famously parodied Chistyakov with all his numbers, so much so that he was invited to other schools. And in Makhachkala, Alyosha revealed his artistic talent to his classmates. Performed one number, then the second. After school, my mother, confident that her son's desire to go to artists was just a whim, persuaded him to enter the pedagogical institute. But the young man, having passed a blank sheet, left the exam. And soon he left for the Northern capital and entered the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts (now the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts), and then the classical vocal course at the Leningrad Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory.

Alexey Kolgan began his acting biography with work on stage. The talented graduate was invited to the Mossovet Theater and was immediately introduced to acting performances. The young actor played Mitrofanushka in the classic production of "The Minor", Fabian in "Twelfth Night", Stratton in "The Deluge" and other roles.

Alexey Kolgan found happiness in his personal and family life in marriage with actress Nina Dvorzhetskaya. The couple met during a difficult period for a woman. In 1999, she lost her husband: actor Yevgeny Dvorzhetsky crashed in a car accident.
At first, there was just sympathy between the actors, and after 3 years the woman realized that Alexey was caring for her.
The couple got married in 2003. Kolgan adopted his wife's children - Anya and Misha. For over 15 years the couple have been living in perfect harmony. Anna Dvorzhetskaya has long become an adult, graduated from acting, got married and gave her parents a granddaughter Sophia.
