Alexey Gorshenev is a Russian musician, poet, composer, vocalist of the Kukryniksy rock band, the younger brother of Mikhail Gorshenev, the founder and leader of the cult punk band The King and the Jester.

The Gorshenev brothers, who inscribed their names in the history of Russian rock music, were born in different cities. In the summer of 1973, Mikhail Gorshenev was born in Boksitogorsk near Leningrad, and 2 years later, in October 1975, Alexei was born in the Khabarovsk Territory.

Music was respected in the family. The father loved to sing and dreamed that his sons would learn musical literacy. Mom Tatyana Ivanovna, a musician by profession, taught the kids to sing and accompanied them on the piano in kindergarten. Alexey mastered playing the guitar on his own - the instrument belonged to both brothers on an equal footing and stood between the beds. Having learned to play, he began to compose music for the poems that he invented.

The specifics of the work of his father - Major of the Border Troops Yuri Mikhailovich Gorshenev - led to the frequent change of the family's place of residence. Moving was carried out within the borders of the Far East, while the sons studied in primary and secondary school. Mikhail and Alexei celebrated their graduation at the Leningrad school.

After receiving the certificate of maturity, Alexey Gorshenev entered the Stankoelectron College. In his free time, he played drummers in the rock band "King and Jester", where his elder brother Mikhail was in the lead.

After serving in the army, Alexey, who had long dreamed of saying his word in music, left his brother's team and set about building a creative biography. This is how the rock group "Kukryniksy" appeared, the music and lyrics for most of the songs of which were written by Gorshenev Jr.

The debut of Alexei Gorshenev's group took place in the St. Petersburg club "Polygon" in the spring of 1997. A year later, the first album with 12 songs was released, called "Kukryniksy". In 2001, Alexei Gorshenev celebrated his creative breakthrough with the team: the Kukryniksy took part for the first time in the largest Russian open-air rock festival "Invasion", held in Ramenskoye near Moscow. Further, the musicians participate annually in a rock fest, missing only 2009 and 2010.

In 2002, Alexei Gorshenev and Kukryniksy with a renewed lineup presented the fans with the album Painted Soul, filling it with songs accompanied by guitar music.

Music lovers and fans of Gorshenev's work singled out the instrumental compositions "Time" and "Black Bride". They recorded a video for the last hit, based on the film drama "Idiot" with Evgeny Mironov and Lydia Velezheva.

In the summer of the same year, Alexei Gorshenev and his group took on a new project, which was given the name "Favorite of the Sun". The album was partially recorded at the music studio of Yuri Shevchuk and DDT. Music fans heard 11 songs of the collection in November 2004. The surprise was the instrumental sound and composition on the verses of Sergei Yesenin.

The general public got acquainted with the lead singer of the Kukryniksy group, Alexei Gorshenev, when they saw the vocalist in a duet with Alena Apina in the New Year's edition of Negolubogo Ognok, where they sang the song "Wedding" by Muslim Magomayev.

In 2005, Gorshenev Jr. and his wards were involved in the creation of a music track for the drama "9th company" directed by Fyodor Bondarchuk. In the summer of 2016, "Kukryniksy" released the album "Artist", which was dedicated to Mikhail Gorshenev and all the artists. Music and lyrics were written by Alexei Gorshenev. He remains the band's unchanged vocalist.

The musician has a reliable rear and a strong family. Spouse Alla and son Kirill proved to be the best support in a difficult period, when brother Mikhail, who died of heart failure, and his father passed away with a difference of 40 days. Relatives and creativity did not let Gorshenev break down.
