Childhood and youth

Alexandra Pakhmutova, whose biography dates back to 1929, was born in the small village of Beketovka, located near Stalingrad. She is Russian by nationality. Today, such a settlement no longer exists, and Alexandra Nikolaevna's native street is part of the city of Volgograd and is called Omsk.

Father Nikolai Andrianovich worked at a power plant, but in his free time he played the piano in cinemas during the demonstration of silent films. The man was a creative person. He was engaged in carpentry, repairing cameras and assembling semiconductor devices, painted pictures, mastered the technique of playing the balalaika, violin and harp.

Pakhmutova's parents noticed early that their daughter was distinguished by exceptional musical talent. With their approval, at the age of 3, the girl began to learn to play the piano, and a few months later she was already making her first attempts to compose her own melodies.

At the age of five, little Pakhmutova wrote the first full-fledged piece for piano called "The Roosters Sing", and the girl went to music school only 2 years later. As a child, Alexandra improved playing keyboard instruments in her native village. Then, with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, she continued to develop as a pianist in Karaganda. In Kazakhstan, her family was in evacuation for a year.

As soon as the theater of military operations went beyond the border of the Soviet Union, Alexandra independently went to Moscow and at the age of 14 entered the Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. There, the girl studied in a specialized piano class, and also attended a circle of young composers, which was organized by Vissarion Shebalin and Nikolai Peyko.

This famous school for gifted children, as it was then called, gave a start in life to many musicians and composers who later became world famous. Alexandra Nikolaevna Pakhmutova also graduated from it, and then turned out to be a student of the composition department of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

The future star received a diploma of higher education in 1953, but studied for another 3 years in graduate school, and later defended her thesis on the theme "Score of the opera" Ruslan and Lyudmila "by MI Glinka. Classmates noted the persistent, firm character of the girl, which is characteristic of the representatives of her zodiac sign - Scorpio.

Personal life

Nikolai Dobronravov and Alexandra Pakhmutova created not only a creative union, but also a family. Today, the composer and poet have been married for over 60 years. The future spouses met in their youth, in 1956.

Then Dobronravov worked at the All-Union Radio, where he read poems in the children's program "Pionerskaya Zorka". And Pakhmutova was invited to write music for these poems to make children's songs. The first joint composition was "Motor Boat", after which more than a hundred magnificent hits appeared.

In the same year, the personal life of Alexandra Pakhmutova changed: she and Nikolai Nikolayevich fell in love with each other at first sight. After 3 months, Dobronravov took Alexandra to the registry office, and they officially became husband and wife.

The composer decided not to wear a white dress with a veil. Her mother made an elegant pink suit, and the bride appeared in it at the wedding. The couple spent their honeymoon with relatives in Abkhazia, and upon returning to Moscow plunged into work.

Alexander Pakhmutova and her husband did not have their own children. But they realized their unspent love in creativity: their duet created a huge number of youth and children's hits, so that the sons and daughters of Pakhmutova were children from all over the country. Songs such as "Starfall", "Gaidar strides ahead", "Wild dog Dingo" sounded in the performance of the Big Children's Choir of the All-Union Radio and Central Television.

In addition, the spouses closely followed the young talents and took care of talented performers, so today many musicians and singers call Alexandra Nikolaevna and Vladimir Vladimirovich second parents.

Now the couple lives in Moscow, their country house is in Peredelkino.

Few people know that this petite woman (149 cm tall and weighing 45 kg in her youth) is seriously passionate about football and considers herself a fan of this game. Together with her husband, they support the Russian national team, and Pakhmutova herself is a devoted fan of the Rotor team from her native Volgograd.

In a duet with her husband, she even wrote a football song "This is our game", dedicated to Russian athletes. It remains to add that in 1968 the name of Alexandra Nikolaevna was immortalized, and on a universal scale: Crimean scientists named the new asteroid by the name of Pakhmutova.

Music

It is noteworthy that Alexandra Nikolaevna writes music in various genres, including serious works for symphony orchestras. For example, she composed "Russian Suite", "Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra", overture "Youth", "Ode to Lighting the Fire" and other compositions.

By the way, the first two works from the above are often performed by foreign symphony orchestras. And the talented choreographers of the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater and the Moscow Bolshoi Theater staged the ballet Illuminated to the music of Alexandra Nikolaevna.

The composer also wrote melodies for cinema. The soundtracks from the pictures "Girls", "Three Poplars on Plyushchikha", "Battle for Moscow" and many others became popular. In 1980, by special order of the IOC, Pakhmutova composed the music for the official Olympic film "Oh sport, you are the world!"

Muslim Magomayev and Alexandra Pakhmutova

A special, perhaps even key role in her work was occupied by the pop genre. Popular songs of Alexandra Nikolaevna have their own individuality, inspire the listener, carry a positive component and remain in memory for a long time.

The lyrical compositions "Tenderness" (Yuri Gagarin's favorite song), "The Old Maple", "Belovezhskaya Pushcha", "How Young We Were", fervent songs "The main thing, guys, do not grow old at heart!" and Good Girls, the patriotic Eagles Learn to Fly and Gagarin's Constellation.

The song "Melody" immediately fell into the repertoire of Muslim Magomayev, who sang it especially sincerely, since at that time he was going through a period of temporary separation from his young wife Tamara Sinyavskaya. The wife was in Italy for an internship at the La Scala opera house. Later, Dobronravov admitted that he wrote the text for the composition "Melody of Love" inspired by his feelings for his wife Alexandra.

Pakhmutova also took part in the creation of sports anthems "Our Youth Team" and "A coward does not play hockey." The last song became a hit during the victorious march of the USSR national ice hockey team in the 80s.

Listeners and fans were sure that the words about the excellent five refer to Vyacheslav Fetisov, Alexey Kasatonov, Sergey Makarov, Igor Larionov and Vladimir Krutov. But in fact, the musical composition was created in 1968, when the future sports stars were 8-10 years old.

Among the favorite hits of Pakhmutova and Dobronravov is the farewell song of the Moscow Olympics-80 "Goodbye, Moscow!" Initially, the text had to contain the line "Goodbye Moscow, hello Los Angeles!" But relations between the USSR and the United States sharply deteriorated a few months before the sporting event, so the concept of musical composition also changed.

Among the songs of Pakhmutova were also those that at one time were banned. This happened with the composition "And the battle continues again", where the representatives of the artistic council heard an insult to the memory of the leader in the sound of a drum roll. Later the song entered the repertoire of Lev Leshchenko and Iosif Kobzon.

Songs of Alexandra Pakhmutova were included in the repertoire of such stars as Mikhail Boyarsky and Valery Obodzinsky, Muslim Magomayev and Edita Piekha, Aida Vedishcheva and Anna German, Lyudmila Gurchenko and Valery Leontyev, as well as many others.

Critics reproached the composer for writing songs for the party. But even after the collapse of the USSR, the musician continued to create hits. An example of this is the composition "Russian Waltz" from Julian's repertoire.

It is worth noting that Pakhmutova's works were performed not only by Soviet, but also by Western artists. For example, former Modern Talking vocalist Thomas Anders, British band Living Sound and East German band Kreis.

Alexandra Nikolaevna collaborated with prominent poets, including Robert Rozhdestvensky, but the most lasting and fruitful creative union was Alexandra Pakhmutova and Nikolai Dobronravov.

Music fans heard and fell in love with a huge number of songs thanks to this duet. Their joint composition "Magnitka" in 2011 was even approved as the official anthem of the city of Magnitogorsk. This decision was made by a meeting of city council deputies.

In the same year, the release of the popular musical television show "Dostoyanie of the Republic", which was seen by the viewers of Channel One, was dedicated to the composer's work. The program was attended by Oleg Mityaev, Iosif Kobzon, Diana Arbenina, the Ivanushki International group, Nikolai Noskov and other stars of the domestic show business.

Alexandra Pakhmutova has earned many awards for her work. The composer has three orders "For Services to the Fatherland", state awards of the USSR and Russia, the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR and the USSR.

With the participation of Pakhmutova and Dobronravov, programs dedicated to their work are broadcast on the TV screen. At the end of 2017, on Channel One, the couple performed in the program "Tonight", and a year earlier they became guests of the talk show of Yulia Menshova "Alone with everyone."

In February 2018, the premiere of a new song by Pakhmutova and Dobronravov "Kursk Bulge", which was written specifically for the military television movie "Strong Armor", took place. The work lasted a month and a half, and then the finished material was recorded at the Mosfilm film studio with the participation of a symphony orchestra conducted by Sergei Skripka, the Sretensky Monastery choir and soloist Sergei Volchkov.
