Probably, the suffering of his father pushed his son to a step that was unexpected for everyone, but brought joy to his parents: Sasha entered the medical institute in Karaganda.

In the 2nd year of medical school, the guy was finally convinced that the spontaneous decision was hasty. He served his classes as a duty, but after them he rushed to the "Heirs" ensemble he created or to train the institute basketball team. When I broke my finger during the game, I realized that this is a sign. Fate dictated that music is the only occupation that will bring spiritual satisfaction.

In 1979, the parents moved to Minsk. Alexander Solodukha, to be closer, transferred to the 4th year of the medical institute in the Belarusian capital. In 1982 he became a certified physician. He worked for a year in his specialty, then another 4 - as an inspector of fishery supervision. All this time I went to audition for the famous Belarusian bands. However, the young vocalist was not hired either in Pesnyary, or in Verasy and Syabry.

Failures did not break Solodukha. The first attempt to conquer Moscow took place in the mid-1980s. Alexander arrived in the capital and went to VIA Integral, headed by Bari Alibasov. After refusal, he came to audition for the Blue Bird ensemble. There, the singer was listened to and advised to think about a solo career.

In the same 1985, Alexander Solodukha tried to get a musical education and submitted documents to Gnesinka. But in the USSR in those years there was a ban on receiving secondary education after higher education. Therefore, the doors of the school were closed for the young man. As time has shown, I did the right thing. People's Artist of Armenia Konstantin Orbelian, who was staying at the hotel, saw and heard Alexander on the stage. He also advised the performer he liked to turn to Mikhail Finberg, who was just gathering musicians into his orchestra. Six months later, in August, Solodukha became the soloist of the orchestra.

The singer's creative biography resembles a roller coaster: steep descents alternate with a rapid climb. A year later, Finberg fired Alexander for his incompetence. But the year spent at the National Concert Orchestra of Belarus turned out to be a turning point: during this period, the singer met the composer, who became his friend for life.

Oleg Eliseenkov not only wrote the first hits for Solodukha's repertoire, but also gave advice on how to look and behave on stage. The creative tandem turned out to be fruitful, and after leaving the orchestra, the vocalist began to develop a solo career. But this did not happen immediately.

After the scandalous departure, Alexander Solodukha got a job in the music hall. And in 1989, the talented performer was invited to their song theater by Yadvig Poplavskaya and Alexander Tikhanovich, whom the musician met in the Finberg orchestra. With concerts and tours, the theater has traveled all over the Soviet Union. Later, the singer admitted that he learned from this talented couple the ability to build a repertoire, “hold” the audience, and communicate with the audience.

In 1990, Solodukha became a participant in the popular Shlyager-90 competition, where he won 6th place. The Grand Prix then went to Kirkorov. And 5 years later, the Belarusian performer made another attempt to gain popularity in Russia. A video clip appeared for the song “Hello, strange dear” to the music of Eduard Khank, which was shown on the air of the rating program “Good morning, country!”.
