For 4 years, Alexander was a member of the "Merry Boys" ensemble, playing the role of soloist, composer and arranger (up to 1992). Soon after that, he continued to experiment with solo creativity, and also work together with the singer Sergei Krylov (their main hits were the songs "The Month of May", "Autumn - Golden Leaf Falls" and "In Kathmandu's Brothel").

Having left for America for a year and a half in 1995, Dobronravov composed the composition "How Delightful the Evenings in Russia", which later became his hallmark. The following year, the singer joined the White Eagle band as a composer and music producer.

The founder of the team, businessman Vladimir Zhechkov, helped him with this. During his work in this team, Alexander produced 4 albums, which included some of the artist's compositions - "God", "Heaven", "I'll buy you a new life", "Good evening".

Also at this time, the artist recorded the popular song "Daisies for Natasha" and took part in the filming of a video for this composition. In addition, he became one of the musical directors of the film "When the Night Lanterns Swing" together with other celebrities - Joseph Kobzon, Larisa Dolina, Valery Meladze, Zhanna Aguzarova and others.

In the late 90s, the musician finally chose the path of a solo artist. As Dobronravov stated in one interview, he was always more interested in the career of a singer than a composer. His song "Lonely She-Wolf" has become one of the main musical hits of the new millennium. The self-titled album was released in 2002.

A year before that, Alexander got to know the poet Mikhail Tanich personally. Their collaboration lasted more than 10 years and resulted in the creation of the 2013 album entitled "Territory of Love".
