Ahmed Rice

Second-generation Pakistani, Riz Ahmed was born in Wembley, North West London. A graduate in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from Christ Church University in Oxford, he went on to study acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London.

To avoid having to choose between the two disciplines, Riz Ahmed began a career as a rapper under the stage name Riz MC, and made his television debut in 2006 in the docu-fiction The Road To Guantanamo, winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlinale.
