I don't see what the problem is if you manage to cook it yourself, to start a conversation with her about something, topics of pain, especially with a shopkeeper. And it's not bad if the story starts to make your mouth die called to go out for coffee, in the end you lose nothing and cut you, at least you will know that you tried. I'm not saying you're cheeky and insistent, but you still have to try, whatever happens. You may not have the problem at all, and your friend is serious, without trying you can't know the real situation for sure.
