I have long wondered why there are still different measuring systems in the 21st century. A century of high technical achievements by human genius, and two different systems are used - one modern metric system and the other old English archaic yard system. I mean systems for LENGTH, WEIGHT and TEMPERATURE. The metric system is so simple and logical that it uses integers - 1, 10, 100, 1000, 1000000 or 1 cm. and 3mm, 1cm. i. 7mm. etc., but these are also integers. If we measure with the English system we must also use fractional numbers such as 1 inch and 3/4 (3 quarters) or 1 inch and 5/8 (5 eighths). This is a stupid system, but it is still used mostly in America. In 1975, the US Congress proposed a law to move to the metric system, but one of the "big experts" roared: "Stop this crazy idea." and in 1982, President Reagan repealed the law. And America continues with the old archaic system. So far we have talked about length, and now we will move on to weight. For dry weight we have 1 pint, 1 quart, 1 bushel. For liquid 1 ounce, 1 quart, 1 gallon. Even England in 1965 switched to the metric system, but not America. Almost every American thinks that America is the most modern in every way and that it is the best place to live. Only foreigners settled in America know and see things better. Now let's mention the temperature. Same story again. In the United States, temperature is measured in Fahrenheit. For example, water freezes at 32 degrees (0 degrees Celsius) and boils at 212 degrees (100 degrees Celsius). The air temperature for several days reached 104 degrees Fahrenheit, which is equal to 40 degrees Celsius, but also reached 110 degrees. In the state of Arizona, it is normal for the temperature to be around 115 degrees in summer, which is equal to 46 degrees Celsius. Also for the movement of motor vehicles on the roads. Why some countries have left-wing traffic on all roads. Is there any explanation with the left and right hemispheres of the brain. I just wanted to share my opinion about measuring systems. What is your opinion. Isn't it better for all countries to use the metric system? I hope the moderators publish the topic. I just wanted to share my opinion about measuring systems. I call for it to be easier for all countries to switch to Bulgarian, why bother to teach them the language. These people are very impudent, when you go to them to serve them, you have to learn their units of measurement, "for dry weight and for liquid" for temperature, their rules of movement, and their language. It can be insolent, but with these archaic languages, where did they go?
