Aaron Edward Eckhart is an American-born film actor who is nominated for a Golden Globe for the lead role of Nick Naylor in the satirical comedy Smoking Here.
Aaron was born on March 12, 1968 in Cupertino, California and became the third son of a Mormon family. The boy's mother Mary wrote stories for children, his father James worked as an information technology specialist. The family attended Latter-day Saint Church, where Aaron began ministering as a young man.
In 1981, the Eckharts moved to the UK, where their father was sent to work. In England, the youngest son graduated from the educational institution of the American community ACS International School. In Great Britain, Aaron became interested in theater, participating in school plays.
After 4 years, James was transferred again to a new job in Sydney. In Australia, Aaron entered high school and starred in the production of Waiting for Godot.
